About Us: Driven by Pure Passion for Gemstones
I'm Tim, the founder of SapphiresByTim. I'm absolutely fascinated by the treasures the Earth has to offer. My interest in minerals, crystals and gemstones started in childhood, sparked by video games and museum visits. In nature museums, the mineral and gem exhibit was always the most exciting part for me, and collecting rare gems in video games was always something special as well - the rarer, the more exciting!
While being a lifelong gem lover, one stone in particular has always amazed me the most: the sapphire.
Its diversity and beauty inspire me every single time I see it. Just look at the range: from deep royal blue, which radiates absolute elegance, to incredibly exciting parti sapphires full of life; from Winza sapphires, which seem to reflect entire universes within themselves, to Padparadscha sapphires, which embody the pure beauty and vitality of nature - like a sunset reflected by a lotus flower. My mission is to make these stunning sapphires available to you, especially here in Europe.
-
And in doing so, we always keep our core values in mind:
- Full Transparency. This is why every single stone has its own lab certificate, including all relevant information.
- Ethics. Every stone must be traceable. Stones from questionable sources are out of the question - even those of high quality.
- Mine to Market. Minimizing intermediaries increases traceability and helps keep the price affordable. Therefore, the sapphires are sourced directly from the mining country, if not directly from the mines themselves.
- Excellent Service. Only the best service for you - as outstanding as our sapphires themselves.
- Quality over Quantity. Every sapphire is individually selected. We don't just want to offer sapphires; we want to offer true treasures. Unique, high-quality stones that will captivate you forever.
I'm supported in this mission by Sandro. He shares this same fascination with nature's treasures and has been successfully running a company focused specifically on mineral specimens for several years. Our collaboration is a constant source of learning; we exchange knowledge on the world of gems, minerals, and vice versa.
